Welcome to Alaska Wilderness Quest. We provide “mothership” kayak tours to remote parts of Central Southeast Alaska, in particular Rocky Pass, Admiralty and Baranof Islands. We also offer day and half-day long kayak and sightseeing tours out of Petersburg in Southeast Alaska in a 24’ Olympic fiberglass runabout.
Our “mothership’ is the Spirit, a 50 foot fiberglass commercial fishing boat. We have space for four guests. The boat is equipped with a Kayak elevator to facilitate placing and recovering kayaks. We travel “family style” which means a guest might help out in the galley, wash the dishes, or help tie up the boat. In return we have reasonable rates and will visit some of the more remote and untouched wilderness areas in Southeast Alaska.
Although most of our tours take place during the summer season guests should bring warm comfortable clothing(fleece is best) with waterproof boots and raingear or other waterproof outer shell.
